Mason Hawkins paused on the other end before letting out a muted chuckle, "You don't need to discuss this matter with me, but my girlfriend risked her safety for you, that's not something you can just ignore, right?"
Amelia's fingers clenched around the phone, "What happened to Ruby Shane?"
"Three minutes, not a second more."
Amelia immediately responded, "I'll be right there."
With no time to wait for the elevator in three minutes, Amelia hung up the phone and went upstairs along the staircase, flipping out Ruby Shane's new number as she walked, but the call kept ringing until it automatically disconnected without an answer.
A frown formed on her face and she dialed again, but there was still no answer from the other end by the time she reached the door to Mason Hawkins's private room.
She put away her phone and knocked on the door.
But after waiting for a long while with no response, did that bastard Mason Hawkins really leave?
