"Alright, then I'll find time to go to the hospital to get a checkup, to see if I can still conceive. It was a bit difficult giving birth to Carl; it seemed to have damaged my womb. The doctor said it would be difficult to get pregnant again in the future."
The man, upon hearing this, had a thick layer of heartache in his eyes, but he spoke with a feigned lightness, "Why go to the hospital? I can check for you."
"You?" Amelia was a bit skeptical, "You understand obstetrics and gynecology too?"

He coughed lightly, "I don't understand obstetrics, but I do know about having children. Once we get back, you'll come with me to Hillside Villa and live there. As for whether or not you can get pregnant, isn't trying the only way to find out?"
