Daniel Cooper clasped the woman's small hand in his palm, gently pinching it, "Don't worry, no need for any tests, just a pulse diagnosis will do, followed by prescribing some medicine."
Amelia was half-believing, "Really?"
He couldn't help but chuckle, "You're a doctor yourself, if you really needed those machine tests, would I let you eat anything?"
Amelia, "..."
That's right, she hadn't held a scalpel in years and nearly forgot all she learned, practically returning it to her teacher.
"Besides seeing the doctor, I also want to take you to meet someone."
Amelia turned to ask, "Meet who?"
"You'll know when we get there."
Amelia snorted, "If you won't tell, forget it."
He was actually keeping her in suspense, when she was feeling unwell both physically and mentally, hardly interested in meeting anyone. If it weren't for Professor Smith's sake, she wouldn't bother making this trip at all.
