Zachary Shane had been here a few times, and Mrs. Boyle was quite familiar with him, so she bravely spoke up, "Mr. Shane, what happened to our Miss?"
Zachary Shane seemed to notice someone else in the Room for the first time and politely nodded at Mrs. Boyle with a smile, "Mrs. Boyle, Amelia is drunk. Could you please make her some sobering soup?"
Mrs. Boyle rubbed her hands together, unsure of exactly what had happened, but she could only nod in agreement and then turn to hastily prepare a bowl of sobering soup in the kitchen.
She felt that Mr. Cooper must have already been informed by Harrison Forest, and maybe Mr. Cooper was already on his way. Those of us who serve have no place in interfering with our employers' affairs, but Mr. Foster should be able to handle this.
As the saying goes, you are loyal to the one who feeds you; she was paid by the Miss and naturally had to look out for her.
