Amelia turned her head, not understanding, and that's when she realized the man's eyes had already opened at some point, his gaze dark and scorching as it bore into her, with a hint of murderous intent, as if he intended to swallow her whole.
She was stunned for a moment but quickly recovered and said, blushing bright red, "Daniel Cooper, what are you trying to do? This is a hospital!"
The man's breath was heavy, "What about the hospital? It's just the two of us in this ward, no one else can come in."
Amelia bit her lip, suppressing her anger with patience, "Daniel Cooper, your wounds haven't healed yet, can't you stop this?"
But even without looking, she could still feel his intense gaze; her cheeks were already so hot they seemed to be smoking, and then she heard him ask, knowing full well, "What am I doing, huh?"
Amelia was running out of patience, her cheeks cooling, "Stop holding my hand, I'm going to fetch some water."
