The journey that normally took forty minutes, Amelia arrived in just twenty.
As soon as she got out of the car, she saw Nathan Taylor waiting at the steps of the hospital entrance and ran up to her as soon as he saw her, "Madam..."
Amelia didn't stop, "Which floor is he on, take me there immediately."
Nathan and Benjamin Parker followed her as she ran, "On the sixth floor, the third operating theatre... Madam, the elevator isn't this way."
Amelia pushed open the completely passable iron door and rushed up the stairs, "The elevator is too slow, it's faster this way."
"Okay." Nathan didn't say another word and followed, while Benjamin, who wasn't trained for physical exertion, was too out of breath to keep up.
In less than half a minute, the two arrived at the sixth floor. Amelia glanced at the red light on outside the operating theatre door, rolled up her sleeves, and walked into the adjacent blood collection room.
