Having left the supermarket, Amelia looked at the items in the man's hand and laughed mockingly, "Was that female salesperson pretty?"
Daniel Cooper's expression blanked for a moment before answering, "Don't know, didn't look closely."
He was telling the truth. Besides finding the girl excessively enthusiastic, he truly hadn't even noticed what her nose and eyes looked like.
"You didn't look closely but let yourself be coaxed into buying so much stuff. You were inside for so long, I thought you had fallen for the girl and started a romance on the spot."
Daniel was directly provoked into laughter, casting a sideward glance at the little woman who acted cute even after taking advantage, "You set such a difficult challenge for me, and now you're turning the tables?"
He had lived half a lifetime and had never done anything so embarrassing.
