The kiss from the man had lasted so long that Amelia's throat was a bit dry by now.
After the waiter had finished serving the dishes, he respectfully said, "Enjoy your meal," before leaving the private room.
Only when the door was closed did Amelia put down her glass of water and, with a haughty tilt of her chin, looked at the man cutting her steak elegantly. "I'm never going out to dine with you again."
As Daniel Cooper continued to cut the steak unhurriedly, he glanced up at her, a smile playing on his lips as he said, "Well, I think Mrs. Boyle's cooking is pretty good too."
Amelia looked at him warily, with pursed lips, "What do you mean by that?"
Was he planning to poach Mrs. Boyle too?
He glanced at her, placed the sliced steak in front of her, and with a warm smile brimming in his eyes, said, "I plan to have lunch at your company in the future and to dine with Teacher in the evenings. After all, it's all for free, so I'll save quite a bit of money."
