Pfft—
Benjamin Parker couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Daniel Cooper turned his beautifully sculpted face toward him, featuring a warm smile, "Mr. Parker, is something funny?"
Amelia watched as the man, although smiling, had eyes filled with icy shards. She forcibly stifled an emerging laugh into a look of grief, breaking out in a cold sweat she said, "I wouldn't dare, sir."
"Then close your mouth."
"Yes, yes, closing it now."
Amelia watched as he frowned slightly and said indifferently, "Mr. Cooper, you're almost incapacitated, and yet you still have the energy to discipline someone else's staff, not easy indeed. But did you ask for my consent before scolding my subordinate?"
Mr. Cooper, utterly indulgent of his wife, admitted his fault very agreeably, "Um, Madam is right."
Benjamin Parker, "..."
Decisively decided to find a new idol. Mr. Cooper's henpecked attitude was simply unbearable.
Amelia couldn't be bothered to argue with him and let him ramble on.
