Daniel Cooper spoke through the glass, "It's me. Open the lock."
The light was dim, and the woman seemed to carefully recognize him before immediately unlocking the door with a click.
He opened the car door and saw her pale face from the panic at a glance.
"What are you doing here? Is your car having problems?"
Amelia shook her head subconsciously, her voice trembling, "No."
He breathed a sigh of relief. If her car had broken down, he would have to take her to his car, and they'd inevitably get wet in such heavy rain.
"Then go sit in the passenger seat."
Amelia, who was in great shock, saw him as her savior. Without any hesitation, she obediently climbed into the passenger seat and watched him blankly as he got behind the wheel.
Daniel shut the car door and blocked the wind and rain outside. He grabbed a few tissues from the dashboard and quickly wiped the rain off his face. Then he turned to the woman beside him, concern in his tone, "Are you alright?"
