The man obviously didn't like this answer, "What else is there to consider? Don't you want to give your son a legitimate identity as soon as possible?"
Was he implying that Carl was an illegitimate child?
Amelia's face immediately fell, "So you're saying if I don't get a marriage certificate with you, my son won't have a proper identity? Just so you know, Carl's surname is Foster not Cooper. He's on the Fosters' residence registration. If my son having an illegitimate identity is embarrassing, it won't be you who's embarrassed."
