The setting sun cast its rays through the window, as dusk engulfed the surroundings. The car gradually left the city centre and drove onto the sparsely populated mountain road.
Amelia watched the route closely until she saw the verdant hills and lingering mist outside the window. Finally, she couldn't help but glance over at him.
"Did you buy a house here?"
As streetlights flashed by in swift succession, the man's handsome profile revealed little of his emotions. His cold, thin lips uttered curtly, "No, I didn't buy it. Was it rented?"
