Lilian Parker was in a daze in the apartment for a while, when the phone on the coffee table suddenly vibrated.
She picked it up and glanced at it without hurrying to answer it. Instead, she walked to the window, opened the curtain, and squinted at the entrance. As expected, a black car drove in slowly.
She hung up directly, closed the curtain, leaned against the wall, closed her eyes and took a deep breath. When she opened her eyes, there was an air of desperation in them.
Before leaving, she called her usual housekeeper. "Come and clean the room. Every inch must be cleaned."
It should look as if nobody has been here for a long time.
Then, she left the house armed with a hat and sunglasses as before.
Still taking the safe fire escape, she went down to the garage.
The car was parked in a corner not covered by surveillance cameras. She crouched and walked past it.
This was the second time she had met this man.
