After speaking, Amelia turned and walked towards the door.
"Amy!"
The man's deep and husky voice called her name from behind, "Don't go."
Amelia stopped in her tracks at the sound of his voice, turning her head to look at him, "Is there anything else you need?"
A faint smile appeared on Daniel Cooper's lips as he struggled to suppress the frustration in his eyes, murmuring softly, "Stay with me, will you?"
Amelia listened to his almost pleading tone, showing no emotion in her eyes, and said indifferently, "I'm not the one who should be with you."
The man's gaze darkened, and he repeated more forcefully, "Stay with me, I want you to be with me."
She found his words amusing, incredibly amusing, and so she broke into laughter.
With a soft snort, she turned emotionlessly towards the door and walked away.
