Amelia was slightly stunned for a few seconds before slowly saying, "I just didn't expect that Director Shane would still recognize me as a student who deserted halfway."

Seeing her downcast expression, Ruby Shane comforted her, "Amelia, my dad has always cared for you, and so has my brother. If it hadn't been for his business trip abroad, he would have flown over here long ago. So you see, although your grandparents are gone, you still have so many people around you who care for and love you. So you must never think of giving up or doing anything foolish."
