"Amy..."
The calm and composed expression on Daniel Cooper's face finally showed a hint of cracks. Somehow feeling a bit flustered, he pinched Amelia's delicate chin with his long cool fingers, his voice tense and irritated, "Don't tell me you want to punish me using this method."
The woman looked at him with a cold, silent gaze, "What if I say yes?"
The room was suddenly plunged into dead silence.
The fingers pinching her chin stiffened for a moment, as Daniel's dark eyes stared intently into hers.
He understood this woman he had loved for many years. She was usually stubborn but soft-hearted. No matter how much of a fuss she made with him before, there was always a tender light in her eyes.
But now, the look she gave him was of casual indifference and deep-seated hatred.
He couldn't help but smile sarcastically, "Do you really hate me that much?"
She returned his mockery with a sarcastic smile, "Yes, I especially hate you."
The room fell silent once again for a while.
