At these words, Amelia was taken aback, "Did Daniel Cooper tell you that?"
Ruby Shane nodded, "What else could it be? The news of Madam White's death hasn't been made public. How do you think I'd know if it weren't for him?"
"He sure knows how to find people."
Amelia wiped her tears, "Since you're already here, I won't stand on ceremony with you. I might be very busy these few days, so I'll entrust Carl to you."
"No problem, go ahead and take care of your business, just leave the child to me." Ruby Shane said, taking her arm, "Let's go, show me my godson. I haven't seen him for quite some time. I guess he doesn't recognize me anymore..."
As they talked and walked upstairs, they saw the lit screen of the phone by the pillow. Amelia picked it up and glanced at the contact name - it was her father's number. She quickly answered it, and before she could even say anything, Albert Foster's anxious voice came through, "What are you doing? Why haven't you been answering the phone?"
