Before Benjamin Parker could figure out how to begin, the door was abruptly flung open, and a man who had been standing outside rapidly strode in, his handsome face ashen as he gazed at the woman lying on the hospital bed.
When Amelia saw the man who had suddenly appeared before her, for a few seconds, she believed she was hallucinating because of her head injury.
Benjamin had not expected Daniel Cooper to abruptly stride in and was consequently left stunned on the spot.
The hospital ward became instantly silent.
Primarily, it was awkward.
"Mr... Mr. Cooper..."
"Get out!" the man interrupted Benjamin coldly, issuing orders at the same time.
He was more than happy to comply, "Ok, I'm leaving. Please take your time chatting with Ms. Foster."
In the blink of an eye, only two people were left in the ward. As they locked eyes, silence once again fell.
