Amelia took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down, and lowered her eyes. "I just talked to my grandfather about my mom, and then I remembered the scene before she died, so..."
"Sorry," Daniel Cooper gently hugged her, "I didn't know it was because of this."
Amelia shook her head guiltily, "It's fine, no need to apologize."
After a pause, she continued, "I have something I want to discuss with you."
"Hmm? Isn't Mrs. Cooper used to giving orders? When did you learn the word 'discuss'? I'm not quite used to this."
Amelia stepped back half a step, increasing the distance between them, and looked up at him. "Considering my grandfather's current situation, and my grandmother's age, and the fact that my cheap uncle hasn't been in touch..."
Daniel frowned slightly, "So?"
She pursed her lips, choosing her words carefully, "That's why I want to stay here for some time to take care of them until my cheap uncle shows up and then return."
