Amelia looked at the man's sneering expression and revealed a hint of cold mockery, "If I'm not magnanimous, I'm afraid things won't work out, right?"
So that was his plan today, to send someone ahead as a vanguard. If the strategy failed, he'd switch tactics—such a masterful way to coerce people into submission.
But why did his tone sound so inexplicably sarcastic and… bitter?
Daniel Cooper caught the ironic tone of her words and mimicked her, "Of course not, Dr. Foster is so resourceful. I'm no match."
"..." It seemed even more sarcastic now.
Was he going to mock her on top of coercing her?
Amelia pursed her lips and said, "Mr. Cooper, can you talk like a normal man?"
His cryptic and sarcastic manner of speaking was like that of a nagging woman.
He snorted coldly, "Don't you know if I'm a normal man or not? Besides, my woman is so magnanimous; it would be abnormal for me not to praise her."
Amelia, "..."
Is he not done yet?
