Amelia stopped and glanced at the man, who was a good-looking young man. He was dressed in designer clothes but had an air of a little rascal about him.
She turned around and said indifferently, "That depends on whether you have the ability."
As they walked out of the police station, Olivia's scolding voice was heard, "Arthur, you're a senior researcher! How can you get into fights outside? It's humiliating if word gets out!"
Arthur's face was black and blue; he tried to coax her in a low voice, "I know I was wrong. Can you please show me some mercy in front of others? Scold me all you want when we get home; I haven't had dinner yet, I'm starving!"
Olivia glared at him, "Serves you right."
Although she said that, she turned to Amelia as they walked, "Amelia, we really appreciate your help today. Please do us the honor of having a late-night snack with us?"
Amelia laughed helplessly, "How can I refuse when you say it like that?"
