Perhaps the dust had finally settled, Amelia slept very well that night.
Early the next morning, Daniel Cooper visited her, bringing breakfast and her laptop.
"I've finished writing the paper. Take a look and see if it's up to par."
"Thank you. How could your writing not be up to par?" she looked at the bloodshot eyes of the man, "you must have stayed up very late last night."
"It's nothing, I can catch up on sleep at the company. I've told Mason that there won't be anyone moving into the ward next door for the time being, so you can just stay there with peace of mind."
She pursed her lips, "As I said, I'll go back home tonight."
Daniel's breakfast delivery paused for a moment, and he replied casually, "Then I'll come pick you up after work."
"No need. I'm going to the Research Institute later and can just ask Harrison Forest to drop me off."
