In the Dean's office, Mason Hawkins sat crooked in the large desk chair, with one leg resting on the desk, shaking it.
"How are you and your Dr. Foster? Did you catch them cheating last time?"
"Stop being a jerk. She worked late and didn't bring her ID, so she asked someone to help her get a room to rest. From now on, don't use those dirty words on her."
Daniel sat on the edge of the desk, his two long legs leaning against the bottom, indifferently lighting a cigarette.
Mason was not annoyed, just playfully smiling, "Since it's not a big deal, why are you still making a big deal with an iceberg face? Your father-in-law has been pulled back from the gates of hell, shouldn't you go back and get cleaned up, lie down, and wait for the little wife to throw herself into your arms?"
Daniel looked at him, "Is there anything else in your brain besides all that dirty stuff? What about the thing I asked you to check last time? Any progress?"
Mason was startled, "… What thing?"
