Amelia had a natural instinct for numbers, her eyes like magnets, always able to accurately pick out the anomalies in the vast sea of data.
But after all, humans are not machines, and they get tired too.
Seeing that it was already past school hours, Olivia finished her part of the work, walked over, and put a cup of coffee on Amelia's desk, "Share the data package with me, I'll help you run it."
Amelia smiled faintly, "No need, you can go ahead, I'll just work a little more."
Olivia was in a relationship and needed time to go on dates, but Amelia didn't.
"Are you pretending to be oblivious or are you really stupid? Can't you see that Linda is deliberately playing you? With the workload of three people, you might not be able to finish it even if you work late into the night."
Amelia pursed her lips, "I don't have anything else to do anyway."
She would rather work overtime than go home and share a bed with Daniel Cooper.
