Olivia led her to a desk, "This will be your spot, just diagonally across from mine. If you need any help, feel free to ask."

Linda, who was being ignored to one side, almost bit through her lip. She wanted to embarrass Amelia, but now she was getting all the attention.
Seems like she's not going to be easy to deal with.
Forcing a smile on her face, Linda approached Olivia, "Senior, my desk is number 11. Could you show me where that is, please?"
Olivia pointed, "Oliver, can you help this new student find desk 11?"

Amelia is warmly referred to as a junior and she's just a cold new student?
