Amelia didn't even see how it happened when she heard a loud bang. The truck crashed into the cement guardrail by the road in a twisted manner and plunged straight down.
Amelia was thrown against the front seat due to the massive force, her head buzzing from the impact. In her confusion, someone pulled her over, and the deployed airbag quickly immobilized her in the middle of the seat.
It wasn't until she heard Lana Parker's scream that Amelia suddenly sobered up, realizing something had gone wrong.
Though the impact on her head wasn't too severe, her vision was still blurry, as if a dazzling light band was flashing in front of her eyes, making it impossible to see anything clearly. She only felt a strong arm around her waist, pulling her out. The rapid and trembling breath by her ear was hard to miss.
