"Impudent!" Charles Shane scolded in a low voice. "You're becoming more and more unreasonable."
"Then accept this reasonable person as your daughter." Ruby said, pulling Amelia away. "Amelia, let's go."
Amelia felt extremely embarrassed. Although she knew Ruby had a fiery temper, she never expected her to be this explosive.
Daring to confront her father in front of everyone, and even for her sake.
As the situation escalated to this point, there was no way they could stay for dinner. Amelia apologized to Charles with a guilty look before leaving the Shane residence with Ruby.
Not long after they left, Amelia noticed a black sedan following them at a moderate distance. She frowned at Ruby in the passenger seat, then turned the steering wheel and pulled the car over in front of a restaurant.
The sedan behind them stopped as well.
Once inside the restaurant, Amelia let Ruby order while she went to the restroom to call Daniel Cooper.
