Nathan Taylor's excuse was far-fetched, and Amelia certainly didn't believe it, but she also knew that she couldn't get anything out of Nathan's mouth.
So she turned to look at Mason Hawkins, "You tell me, what were you about to say?"
Mason pressed his lips together, suppressing his rage, "I wanted to say, if it wasn't for you, he wouldn't have moved from Mallowbank to here, and this wouldn't have happened."

If he hadn't moved the headquarters here, perhaps he'd be sleeping peacefully in the villa at Mallowbank right now.
