Amelia didn't sleep all night, keeping her eyes open until daybreak.
Fearing her father would worry, she used an ice pack on her eyes for a long time, and applied a light makeup, feeling that it would barely cover her bruises. Then, she went downstairs.
All the clothes and shoes were bought by Daniel Cooper for her, taking them back would only remind her of him and make her even more heartbroken, so she only took her laptop.
Mrs. Harris must have come early, as she had already prepared breakfast. Seeing Amelia, she smiled carefully and said, "Madam is awake, you can have breakfast now."
