Amelia rarely rolled her eyes, "Dream on. I have work to do after dinner."
"...Fine, it's always my fault anyway."
The dad-to-be dutifully got up and went into the kitchen, making all three dishes Amelia had mentioned earlier, then called her over to eat.
Amelia brought her materials to the dining table.
Daniel Cooper reached out to remove the materials and set them aside, "Focus on eating. Viewing things while eating will affect digestion."
Amelia, "…Oh."
She felt that he had been especially nagging lately.
After dinner, Amelia went upstairs. Daniel Cooper washed the dishes and refilled Snowball's cat food and water before going to the floor-to-ceiling window and calling Mason Hawkins.
"I forgot to ask an important question: why is that big shot so insistent on investigating the bombing case?"
