Amelia furrowed her eyebrows slightly.
Daniel Cooper hadn't consulted Nathan in advance and sent the message right in front of her. Moreover, it was a text message without any hints of tone.
Did she really misunderstand?
"Stop overthinking. Go get ready. We're going out for breakfast today."
As Daniel said this, he raised his hand to put it around her shoulder. Amelia looked at his fair and slender right hand and the words "solved it myself" flashed across her mind. She subconsciously took a step back.
And so, the man's hand was left hanging in midair...
The atmosphere became a bit awkward.
Before he could withdraw his hand, clever little Snowball quickly jumped out of Amelia's arms and began crawling along the man's arm.
With a steady arm, Daniel lifted Snowball and said, "At least you have a conscience, unlike some people, who just play the Ungrateful Wolf, never getting familiar no matter how much you feed them."
The Ungrateful Wolf that was implied, "..."
So childish.
