Amelia stopped talking.
Seeing her silent, Daniel said again, "Let's talk about having a baby later. Right now, the key is to take care of your health. Only when you're healthy can you take better care of your father, right?"
Amelia's face finally eased a bit. She pursed her lips and buried her face into the pillow, "You go to work. I want to sleep a bit more."
"Are you really that sleepy, or do you just not want to see me?"
Amelia had closed her eyes, "I'm really tired, and I don't particularly want to see you."
There was silence in the room for a while before the man's deep voice was heard, "The food is heated downstairs, and the medicine is on the side table. Remember to take it yourself. I'm going to work."
Amelia gave a faint "uh-huh."
When she heard the footsteps leaving the room, it finally became completely quiet. Amelia was truly exhausted, and she fell into a deep sleep, as if trying to make up for all the sleep she'd previously lost.
