Not sure if it was because I had been calling out for so long, but my throat was dry, itchy, and sore. Amelia weakly pushed the man on top of her, "I'm thirsty, I want some water."
"Okay," the man said softly, kissing her cheek before getting up and leaving the bedroom. Moments later, he returned with a glass and held it to her lips.
Amelia seemed to lack even the strength to open her eyes as she drank half a glass with the man's assistance. Only after swallowing did she realize there was a sweet grape flavor in her mouth, along with a hint of alcohol.
She couldn't help but frown, "Are you giving me alcohol to drink?"
"It's not alcohol, this is called the Immortals' Brew. It'll relieve fatigue and make you feel like you're floating in heaven..."
Her eyelids felt heavy, and she found his talkative nature annoying. Clutching at his open shirt, she murmured, "So sleepy, carry me to take a bath."
"Hmm, okay."
The man agreed, picking her up and steadily walking into the bathroom.
