Amelia frowned and looked at him for a few seconds before turning back to sit on the sofa in the living room.
She spoke listlessly, "All right then, just make me a few dumplings."
The man's handsome face broke into a small smile upon hearing this, calmly rolling up his sleeves, "Why don't you watch some TV first? Don't fall asleep by the time I finish cooking the dumplings."
Amelia, "Oh."
Cooking dumplings would take ten minutes at the most, she wouldn't fall asleep that fast.
But she obediently picked up the remote control and turned on the TV. There wasn't much on in the theater at dawn, so after flipping through a few channels, she put the remote down, letting the TV noise play on its own and tilted her head to look through the glass at the man bustling in the kitchen.
