Daniel Cooper heard that she was making excuses for another man, and while he felt a bit displeased, a mild smile still lingered on his lips. "I am discussing a separate matter with Mr. Shane that does not involve Benjamin Parker. Please go wait for me in the car; we'll be finished very soon, alright?"
Amelia didn't move but spoke softly, "It might be my premarital anxiety talking, but deep down I'm still worried that your relationship with Lilian Parker isn't purely platonic. That's why I asked Benjamin Parker to follow you in secret, so I could have some peace of mind before getting married."
She took a slight breath and raised her eyes to look at him. "Zachary had personally wished us well not long ago, so he definitely wouldn't come between us now. Besides, Benjamin Parker used to be your subordinate. He obeyed me only because of my relationship with you; anyone else and he most certainly would have refused. He's very loyal to you."
