Amelia raised her eyebrows, finding the lyrics quite pleasant to the ear.
She touched the man's lightly stubbled chin with her fingers, smiling as she said, "Then tell me in detail, what were you feeling the first time you saw me? Were you excited? Was it like there was a little deer crashing around in your chest, that thumping feeling?"
Upon hearing this, Daniel chuckled, "You describe it so vividly, as if you've experienced it yourself."
Amelia continued without a second thought, "Of course I've experienced it. The first time I saw you, it was just..." that feeling.
But she stopped herself in time, not uttering the last few words.
She quickly withdrew her hand from the man's chin and pouted, "I'm asking you a question. What do you mean by changing the subject? Could it be that you've never been moved by me at all, and all that talk of a love as deep as the ocean is just a lie?"
