Tristan Collins was in the midst of consideration.
The Secretary couldn't help but bend over and whisper in his ear, "Sir, even if you don't do this, Young Miss will save Madam anyway."
He'd followed Tristan Collins to the Fosters' early in the morning, thinking it was some urgent business, only to find out that Tristan was willing to give up the Collinses to save Joy Taylor.
Just moments ago, he had doubted whether Tristan had lost his mind.
Even without the company, a daughter would save her mother.
He understood this logic; why couldn't Tristan see it?
Tristan waved a hand dismissively, signaling for him to stand aside; clearly, he wasn't taking in the words.
"Alright, I agree," he said, looking at Chloe, and nodded.
The Secretary was shocked and couldn't believe it!
Chloe's eyes, too, were wrapped in a layer of astonishment.
She was just teasing him with her words.
Could it be that he had realized she was joking, and that's why he agreed so casually?
