Chapter 1595
Chloe Collins glanced at Raine Nolan, quietly placing a small object into her clothes, and then she took her leave.
Just as she stepped out of the ward, Cherry Foster abruptly confronted her.
The latter seemed to want to speak but hesitated, her gaze uncertain.
"What is it?" Chloe asked.
Cherry hesitated for a moment, then awkwardly said, "I wanted to thank you for what just happened. I... I promise not to ignore you anymore, and I'm sorry for my previous rudeness."
Her voice was faint, but each word was clearly spoken.
Chloe didn't say anything, merely responding with a light grunt before leaving.
Cherry was surprised. Looking up at her, all she could see was Chloe's retreating figure.
She'd never perceived Chloe to be so imposing and exalted.
Her previous prejudices vanished at that moment.
She was genuinely grateful to Chloe, and relieved that she was there.
