Chapter 1145
Milton White revealed a weak smile: "Something came up at the company all of a sudden, I'm not going."
"Really?" Charles Carrington found it extremely strange.
No matter how he looked at his face, it didn't feel right.
"Hmm, I'll go first."
Milton White opened the door and walked out, dragging somewhat heavy steps.
Under the light, his wristwatch concealed a ring of red marks.
Before long, a trace of perspiration appeared on his forehead and his eyes looked somewhat blurry.
In his mind, he replayed the image of Chloe Collins dancing gracefully on the stage.
Yet it wasn't for him.
A wave of dizziness hit him again and he stumbled suddenly towards the wall, fortunately grabbing onto it in time.
After a while, he slowly opened his eyes, staring at the distance without blinking.
Charles Carrington was still not at ease and followed him.
When he found him, he was leaning against the wall smoking, exuding an air of loneliness.
"Milton."
