Manie York walked ahead, her expression indifferent and her silence unbroken.
Suddenly, a straight arm appeared before her, blocking her path.
Her stride neither swerved nor slowed, it looked as if she would collide with the person before her, yet also seemed to pass by him.
"Target detected with hostile intent in gaze, master, do you want to activate the defense program?"
A rigid voice filled with mechanical resonance, causing surprise amongst many.
"Is this… a robot?"
"Seems to be. The voice is very realistic, yet the accent is definitely robotic."
"My goodness, this robot is too realistic, it's not a steel skeleton? Is it an actual person disguised?"
"No no no, can't others see it? We can. This is a robot! Look at that posture, even a soldier can't stand so straight!"
Surprise filled Manie's eyes. She was close enough to see the man's pupils, clearly noticing his glassy eyes which seemed to be scanning and analyzing.
