Robert Foster was at a loss for what to do. After thinking for a while, he took a blanket from the cupboard and said, "Then I'll sleep on the floor."
Watching him bend down to spread the blanket, Wanda Wesley felt a sudden tug at her heartstrings.
Without thinking, she blurted out, "Robert, do you... have a girl you like?"
"Huh?" Robert looked up, looking innocent.
Wanda stared at him, her smile a bit awkward.
Only then did she realize what kind of question she had asked.
Robert asked, "A girl I like? Do you mean a girlfriend?"
Since she had asked, Wanda simply nodded.
Robert continued to lay out his blanket and said, "No, I'm not done playing yet. I don't want to get married so soon."
Wanda looked puzzled, "Does being in a relationship mean you have to get married?"
Robert replied as if it was a matter of course, "Of course, wouldn't it eventually lead to marriage?"
Wanda was left speechless by this.
