Raine Nolan jolted back to reality and, like clutching at a lifeline, went to answer the door.
Rosalind Taylor was shocked by her disheveled state. "What's wrong? Didn't you sleep last night?"
"Mom, save me!" She tearfully pleaded.
"What happened now?" A vein twitched in Rosalind's forehead.
Raine closed the door behind her and recounted everything.
Rosalind was petrified, mumbling to herself, "No wonder, no wonder."
"Mom, what are you talking about, 'no wonder' what?"
"The Fosters just called, inviting us over for dinner tonight. I was wondering why. It seems this is an ambush."
Raine was startled, "Mom, what should I do then?"
