"Mm," An Ziqi responded softly.
Joy burst like fireworks in her mind, momentarily drowning the speck of unease hidden deep in her heart.
Xiao Moli picked up the necklace from the table and slipped it back around her neck.
"From now on, you're not allowed to take it off without my permission. Got it?"
An Ziqi's cheeks reddened as she sidled away a bit, mumbling a quick, "Mm."
Xiao Moli, unsatisfied, pulled her back into his arms. "What's 'Mm' supposed to mean?"
An Ziqi, feeling helpless, replied quietly, "I understand."
Only after her affirmation did Xiao Moli finally look pleased.
The two of them, having just acknowledged their feelings, wished to stay glued to each other all the time.
An Ziqi's stomach let out a growl.
Embarrassed, she quickly placed her hand over her stomach, as if that would somehow mask the sound.
She hadn't eaten much since leaving home that morning, and during the show, in Xiao Moli's presence, she had no appetite at all.
