Her throat was dry and sore. On the bedside table, there was a cup of water. She grabbed it and gulped it down. Only then did she manage to muster a bit of energy.
A clean set of clothes lay on the pillow next to her.
Having put on clothes and barely able to stand, Xia Tianxing staggered. Leaning on the corner of the table, she finally gained enough strength to push the door and walk out.
The house was deathly quiet. She went into another room to find her phone and was shocked to see that it was already five in the afternoon the next day.
Gripping on to the staircase she started to walk out.
"Where are you going?"
The cold voice of Yuntian came from the living room.
Xia Tianxing turned her head and saw Yuntian sitting with crossed legs on the couch, reviewing some documents.
"I'm going home."
Xia Tianxing replied softly, thinking about the 24/7 agreement and felt uncomfortable. She added, "Call me whenever you need me."
Finishing her sentence, she turned to leave.
