When Sandra uttered this sarcastic comment, Antony's face instantly darkened. Staring at her in silence, the atmosphere in the room became awkwardly quiet.
Charles stood to one side, watching the two, not wanting to waste his time with their squabbles.
He coughed theatrically and suggested to Sandra, "Why don't you and Mr. Brown go outside and talk."
Talk?
Sandra had no desire for that.
There was nothing left for her to discuss with Antony.
At this point in their relationship, any words exchanged would just be a waste of their breath.
Moreover, Antony was, as Christopher had said, a complete loser.
Sandra didn't respond to Charles's suggestion, she crossed her arms and turned her back to Antony.
Her actions spoke louder than words.
Charles cursed under his breath - he should become a neighborhood committee auntie or a mediator at the divorce office instead!
Either role would be more suited to his current situation.
