Juliet Walker stood beside Deputy Mayor Garcia, engaging in casual conversation seemingly without intention.
Upon hearing Juliet's approach, Garcia responded and started a chat with her: "Yes."
"President Robinson visited some friends at Capital University a few days ago, where he met Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. He mentioned Young Mr. Thomas's death and expressed deep regret."
As Juliet Walker stood a step away from Garcia, saying these words, she noticeably caught a slight shudder from Garcia in her peripheral vision.
Garcia's fingers inside his pocket twitched slightly: "Indeed, a great regret," he said.
"I wonder how Mr. and Mrs. Thomas would feel if they knew that their son's death was somehow connected to Miss Garcia."
