"I suspect that within a few years, this department will be canceled due to a lack of income. The revenue from the first half of the year probably isn't even as much as what your current company makes in one month."
Jack Gates's tirades continued one after another.
Amelia Cobb sighed, picked up the ashtray beside her, and tapped her cigarette to ash. She looked at Ben Clinton standing nearby: "Enough about this. How's the investigation that Lydia asked you to do?"
"The cameras have been hacked into, but as for the relationship with President Robinson, nothing has been found out. Could it be that you're overthinking it? Married women are naturally fond of being suspicious."
Jack thought there wasn't anything worth mentioning. If there really was something, it wouldn't have been so hard to find even a single clue.
Amelia hung up the phone and looked at Ben Clinton across from her: "What do you think?"
Ben Clinton didn't say a word, just shook his head at Amelia.
