The restroom by the river was pretty run down, with no insulation for sounds. As Amelia Cobb was about to step out, she accidentally overheard a familiar name.
"Who's he hanging out with these days?"
"Lydia Shire. She's an artist who just got back from abroad. I heard she opened a gallery on Lombard Road,"
Lombard Road! Everyone in the capital knew that it was an art mecca. Anyone who could afford to open a gallery there was either wealthy or had a strong backer.
Listening in, Amelia raised her eyebrows. She didn't expect that the ethereal woman in white was also a talented painter.
"Lombard Road? Seriously? The rent alone costs millions a month!"
Someone expressed their disbelief with astonishment.
Another laughed, "Indeed! I was equally amazed when I first heard. But that woman doesn't seem like she comes from money. Could there be a man behind her?"
"If she had a man, would she still need to seduce others? I don't think so!"
