Charles Glenn exchanged a few words with his secretary, and the surrounding executives dispersed.
"A little early for a drink, how about lunch first?"
.....
In the rooftop restaurant, the private room's door was pushed open by a waiter. Charles Glenn pushed up his glasses and, taking the teapot from the waiter, poured Amelia Cobb a cup of tea.
"Thank you," Amelia reached for the cup.
"It is I who should be grateful to Edward Cobb," Charles said with a faint smile.
Amelia seemed to detect something in his words and asked with a furrowed brow, "What does Mr. Glenn mean?"
Charles poured himself tea, "Half an hour ago, I received a call from President Robinson."
Amelia's grip on the cup tightened.
