The man patted her back, as if to comfort her.
The call was answered, and there was silence on the other end for a moment.
Just as Christopher was growing impatient, Antony's cold tone sounded: "Are you still in the Land of Tenderness, not getting up?"
"You'd better have something earth-shattering to tell me."
"John has been kidnapped, and the kidnapper called me."
Antony's words didn't seem to pique Christopher's interest much, probably because news of wealthy young heirs being kidnapped was never-ending.
There was nothing worth being surprised about.
Christopher spoke, his voice somewhat low and hoarse from not having fully woken up: "Are you short on cash?"
Antony:......
"It might be worth asking your wife who she has offended."
At six o'clock, when Antony received the kidnapper's call, he initially thought it was a prank orchestrated by John from his night out.
It wasn't until the kidnapper sent a video that he realized something was wrong.
